Mortgage Banker – First United Mortgage Group

 

David Starkey, a well-respected loan officer in the mortgage industry, brings wisdom and experience to assist all his clients with their mortgage financing needs.  David began his career in the mortgage industry with Accubanc Mortgage while earning his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas Tech University.  After graduation, David accepted a position and was one of the original employees at WR Starkey Mortgage, a company that his family started and grew into one of the fastest growing privately owned mortgage companies in the country.

 

After his family decided to sell the company, David accepted an offer to join First United Mortgage Group as they looked to grow a presence in Parker County.  He looked for a company who could provide the best service and rates. His belief is that many mortgage firms have one or the other but very few provide both to their clients. His can-do attitude, experience, attention to detail and knowledge of the mortgage industry has helped many families accomplish their dreams of becoming homeowners.

 

David and his wife Jennifer have two children, Ella and Jaxson.  They are members of the Church at the Crossing in Aledo. David and Jennifer are actively involved in the Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Foundation, an organization that helps improve the quality of life of people affected by PMS worldwide by providing family support, accelerating research and raising awareness. They are also on the Aledo Young Life Capernaum committee, a ministry which gives young people with intellectual and developmental disabilities the chance to experience fun and adventure, to develop fulfilling friendships and to challenge their limits while building self-esteem.
