2020 BDGA Clay Shoot
The annual clay shoot event is hosted by the members of the Business Development Group of Aledo and benefits the BDGA Charitable Foundation. Proceeds from the shoot benefit Parker County area youth organizations and other non charitable organizations in Parker County. The two day event is staffed by 100+ volunteers, is attended by more than 600 people and is underwritten by more than 40 local and national companies and individuals. The event consists of a Friday night party, auction, and casino and three separate shooting flights on Saturday.
The Friday night gala, kicks the weekend off in grand fashion. The gala consists of a steak dinner, a live auction with one of a kind items and the BDGA Raffle. The BDGA Raffle gives all raffle ticket buyers the opportunity to win unique prizes. The event is attended by some 400 guests.
The Saturday event begins with a hot breakfast hosted by the Aledo Volunteer Fire Department. Breakfast is followed by the youth shoot where boys and girls, chaperoned by their parents, have the opportunity to learn more about gun safety and shoot the course. Each participant receives breakfast and/or lunch and their ammunition to shoot the course. The top shooters in this flight will win prizes and be recognized throughout the day. The Youth Shoot is completely underwritten by sponsors and free to the participants.
The adult flights begin at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The day concludes around 5:00 p.m. where the top shooting team and overall top shooter are recognized.
