S. Brian Catlin Bio
Brian Catlin is the managing partner of Catlin, Lillard & Co. PC, a public accounting firm with offices in Fort Worth and Parker County. The firm was founded in 1977 and currently has seven professional staff. Brian joined the firm in 1984 after spending three years with the Texas State Comptrollers office. Brian has over three decades of financial experience, including over 25 years with this firm. The firm serves the accounting, auditing, tax, and management services needs of a diverse clientele in Texas and various other states. The business clients served by the firm are in a variety of industries including oil & gas exploration and production, construction, wholesale & retail, real estate acquisition, development and rental, farm & ranch, professional & business services, personal services, financial services and investment management, professional employment organizations, physicians and other medical services, insurance, information technology, advertising and marketing, restaurants, and trucking. The firm also offers a broad range of services to individuals including tax compliance and planning, financial and estate planning, retirement planning, and consulting.
Brian graduated from Iowa Park High School in 1977 and earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas in 1981. He has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas since 1984 and also holds a Group 1 insurance license.
Brian lives in Weatherford, Texas with Lisa, his wife of 31 years and their three children: Courtney, age 23, a graduate of West Texas A&M University, Jacob, age 19 and Jonathan, age 13. Brian and Lisa enjoy being involved in their children’s lives and activities and volunteering in the community. They attend Trinity Bible Church and serve there in various volunteer capacities. Brian currently serves on the Board of the Parker County Health Foundation and the Business Development Group, and has served as an officer and board member of other organizations including Crossroads Youth Ministries and a number of youth sports organizations. Brian enjoys outdoor activities including golf and hunting, and the occasional trip to his family’s cabin in Eagle Nest, New Mexico.
